Virtual X-Ray Assistant Initial Licensure Program

FPMA will be providing a Virtual X-Ray Assistant initial licensure program on Saturday, July 18, 2020. The program is designed to prepare X-Ray Assistants for Initial licensure while updating their knowledge and protocol used in the office.

The program course fee covers the following:

  1. A six-hour Podiatric X-Ray Assistant course presented live via Zoom (virtually) on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. by Albert V. Armstrong, DPM, who has provided X-Ray Assistant education at FPMA conferences. There will be a 15-minute break in the morning, a half hour break for lunch, and a 15-minute break in the afternoon. Once the course is over, each virtual course attendee will receive a link to the X-Ray Assistant course test via the email address provided on their course registration form. Attendees must complete and pass the X-Ray Assistant course test in order to receive 6.0 continuing education contact hours (CECH) for attending the live part of the course.
  2. A two-hour online Medical Errors course to be taken by each participant. Program attendees will receive a link to take this course online via the CE Broker website. Attendees must complete and pass the Medical Errors course test in order to receive 2.0 CECH for Medical Errors.
  3. A one-hour online Human Trafficking course to be taken by each participant. Program attendees will receive a link to take this course online via the CE Broker website. Attendees must complete and pass the Human Trafficking course test in order to receive 1.0 CECH for Human Trafficking.

Once the three courses above are successfully completed, FPMA will submit attendees' CECH to CE Broker on their behalf. Course participants will then be able to apply for initial licensure either online or by completing the X-Ray Assistant paper application (links to both will be provided to course participants via email once their CECH is submitted to CE Broker).
